Christine Fishlock

Counsellor / Psychotherapist

Hello, I am Christine – As an MBACP (Accred) Counsellor/Psychotherapist, I bring over 30 years of experience to offer you a safe and understanding place to navigate life’s challenges. I recognise how overwhelming and isolating it can feel when you’re struggling, and I want to assure you that you’re not alone. It’s tough to maintain self-belief and see your worth when you’re feeling low, but together we can explore your feelings and the thoughts causing you distress. We may need to delve into past experiences and their impact on your life, all while working towards improving your overall well-being. I’m here to support you and guide you towards a more hopeful path. Feel free to reach out to me to discuss taking the next steps forward.

I also work with grief, bereavement and loss.

Additionally, I provide supervision for those in private practice and offer mentoring sessions for therapists considering starting their practice.

David Whitelock

Counsellor / Psychotherapist

Hi, my name is David Whitelock,

I have over 15 years of experience working with the NHS as a counsellor, providing therapy to the general public. Prior to this I worked as an addiction’s counsellor for a rehabilitation centre. I have also done work supporting parents & have provided support for men in parenting settings.

Within the NHS I have been in a position to provide therapy for people from all walks of life, from the age of 18, all the way up into their 90’s. This includes people from different cultures & ethnic backgrounds and the LGBTQ+ community. This has given me experience of working with an extensive range of difficulties such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, trauma, gender & transition issues & long term health difficulties to name but a few. I feel blessed to have this wealth of experience, knowledge & understanding. I hope this experience helps me to help you.

I work as an integrative counsellor, mainly as a personal centred therapist but draw on other therapeutic models so that therapy can be ‘blended’ and tailored to suit your needs. I have training & experience in Counselling for Depression (CFD),Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),and I am an accredited Interpersonal Therapy therapist. I am also a fully accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have a great deal of experience working with communication & relationship dynamics & and knowledge & understanding of working with cultural/ethnic minority issues.

I hope to be able to help you understand your difficulties and yourself better so that you can feel more ‘whole’ and ‘connected’ as a person. Often people can feel ‘lost’ in some way or feel that their needs are not being met. Through therapy, we can identify if there are any useful changes that can be made or whether there are more useful ways of looking after yourself. Our first session will be an assessment session. We will work together to explore your difficulties, assess your needs and decide on the best way forward to structure your therapy.

I am able to work either face to face or by video sessions remotely. If you would like to book an assessment or have any questions, please contact me.

Marietta Feketene Zsigo

Psychologist

Hi, I am Marietta – I have been working as a psychologist in various areas since 2007. I consider myself an open-minded person who is always eager to find new challenges, both personally and professionally. I am constantly seeking opportunities to be of service to as many people as possible, providing professional and accessible help.

Working with people, for me, is like solving a puzzle. Each new piece of information contributes to a better understanding of the current question, making it more complete and clearer for both myself and the client.

Ruth Lunn

Counsellor/ Psychotherapist

Hi, I am Ruth – If you’ve found yourself here, I’m imagining you might be feeling a bit lost or anxious. You could have a good idea as to what is going on and ready to turn towards it, or you could be in a state of wordless despair, both are very common and extremely normal. There is no ‘right’ way to be as you consider psychotherapy, instead I invite you to be just as you are and, if we decide to work together, we can start to explore what might be going on.

When growing up, and as we continue in life, it is often necessary to stuff our feelings down, unconsciously defending against whatever feels unacceptable or unbearable. These defences are, in part, very useful as they can help us to avoid situations that provoke unbearable anxieties. However, as we get older, they can also prevent us from living a full and connected life. This could manifest as rageful anger and an inability to acknowledge our hurt or disappointment, or as a default to always ‘people please’ to protect against being rejected and alone, and anything in between.

These behaviours are often the result of an early unmet need and psychotherapy can help to identify this and find new ways of managing it. This can lead to greater self-awareness, improved self-esteem, positive changes in behaviour and an ability to make meaningful relationships.

I offer a FREE 15-minute introductory call, which gives me an idea of what you are looking for and whether I am able to support you.

During this conversation we will decide whether or not to meet for an introductory session (50 minutes charged at my standard fee). This meeting will give us both an idea of whether we are a ‘good fit’ for longer-term therapeutic work.

If, following this, we decide to work together, I will offer you a session at the same time and place each week. The ritual of meeting regularly will help to create the relational foundations from which you can start to heal and grow. Life ‘out there’ will continue to roll forward, and often the same relationships and recurrent experiences will come into the room, and that’s ok.
